Meet the Owner

A native of Chicago, by way of Michigan, Cherise has worked in the legal field as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal for over 10 years in matters of family law, personal injury, energy law, commercial litigation and insurance defense. During Cherise’s time working in the legal arena, she simultaneously worked in community outreach as an advocate for victims of domestic violence, a Shelter Coordinator for homeless families and an intern advocate for juveniles in the system in the state of Michigan. Cherise earned her BA degree in Political Science Pre-Law, specializing in Women, Gender and Social Justice at Michigan State University in 2008 and an American Bar Association approved Paralegal Degree from Lansing Community College in 2009. She later obtained a Master’s Degree in Grant Writing, Management and Evaluation in hopes of influencing funding for non-profit organizations catering to social and legal justice. Issues surrounding these matters are dear to Cherise's heart and her determination to continue being a positive impact in the midst of injustice on any scale is unwavering.
